My view

A house built for year-round living —not just the summer months— on one of Nagüeles' cobbled lanes. What strikes you on arrival is the quiet: Montepiedra's inner lane ends in whitewashed walls, not traffic. Inside, the layout follows a clear logic —living on the ground floor, sleeping above, storage below— which makes itself felt as much in February as in August. The kitchen works properly and the sitting room is not a corridor: there is room to eat, to read by the fireplace and to step out onto the terrace without having to choose. All three bedrooms have their own bathroom, which removes the daily negotiation over the shared one. And the basement, with natural light, absorbs what other homes carry in wardrobes —seasonal clothing, laundry, pantry— without eating into the main floor.
